Writing as Kernel Nomad

I’m Omer Isildak. My focus is C++, CUDA, and inference systems—understanding how software uses hardware and how models run as services.

Kernel Nomad is where I keep the technical notes, small experiments, and questions that come out of that work.

What I explore

  • C++ — memory, performance, and the details beneath an abstraction.
  • CUDA — GPU kernels, memory access, and parallel execution.
  • Inference — model serving, latency, and resource constraints.

I like starting with a focused question, building a small experiment, and keeping the setup close to the observation. The notebook grows as those questions become clearer.

Notes from the field

Field notes follow a question. Experiment plans describe a comparison before the results are in. Lab notes keep the setup, checks, and observations together. I keep the distinction visible so each note is clear about what has been tried and what comes next.
